Carnua.ie Caranua was set up under the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Act 2012. It offers support, information, advice and advocacy to survivors. Caranua can pay for services that survivors are entitled to, and can give grants to individuals to source services themselves.Residential Institutions Redress Board
The Redress Board was set up to make awards to persons who, as children, were abused while resident in industrial schools, reformatories and other state institutions.
The site content is clearly written, with lots of information to help survivors of institutional abuse, their friends and families, in applying to the Redress Board for compensation.
